M C Chisholm, Washington st. Newport was among the five survivors of the 10th Kentucky Cavalry and the 16th Kentucky Infantry which met for their annual reunion recently. Chisholm served the entire war in the 16th infantry. He is the oldest member of the James A Garfield Post GAR, Covington.

Last rites for M C Chisholm, 93, Union soldier during the Civil War, who died Wednesday at his home, 329 Washington av. Newport, will be held Friday at 9:30 am at the residence. Burial will be at Maysville Ky. Mr. Chisholm's death thinned further the already reduced Covington Commandery, GAR. He served nearly four years in Company C, 16th Regiment of Kentucky.
He was born in Maysville on Sept 19, 1840 and had lived in Newport for 20 years. Three daughters and a son survive. The funeral in charge is Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll of Newport.

Burial will be at Maysville Ky. Mr. Chisholm was born in Maysville. He had been a resident of Newport for 20 years. Three daughters and a son survive him.
