Obituary
We are called to lament the death of our beloved sister and friend, Mary E Randall, on Monday morning, January 26, of disease of the lungs, daughter of Samuel R. and Mary Randall, in her 28th year, a resident of Campbell County, Ky., and a member of the Baptist Church. She lived but a few short years to practice the amiable qualities that adorned her character, endeared her to a large circle of friends, rendered her attractive and beloved by her relations. This deep piety, that gushed warm from a zealous heart and displayed itself in a uniform detachment was a source of delight and comfort to her aged parents. The Church has lost her present influence and prayers, but we can not mourn, for while she vacates her seat in the earthly sanctuary, she fills her seat in the heavenly.
While she leaves a circle of weeping friends on earth, she joins joyful friends above. She leaves her earthly parents in tears with the dying echoes of the last long farewell which was hushed by the gladsome sound from her heavenly parent: "Come ye blessed." It is with comfort her friends gather around her death couch, recount her earnest warnings, patient suffering, fortitude and Christian resignation. We offer our condolence to her bereaved friends. "Our loss is her gain."
