Mrs. Mary Morgan, well known in Newport and who figured in the Pearl Bryan murder case, having found the dead girl's hat, was a caller at Judge Bennett's office. She stated she had no one to take care of the house and wanted the Judge to allow her sweetheart, Fritz Spraul to come there. The Judge consented with the proviso that should any more trouble occur, the pair will be sent to jail.
