COLD SPRING-Miss Mary McVean, teacher in the Bellevue school, has returned home after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S D McVean of Alexandria.

FORMER TEACHER-Miss Mary McVean, 77 years old and a teacher in the Oklahoma City public school system for more than 15 years, died at 2:10 am Tuesday at the home of her nephew, H F Bowen, 4335 North McKinley Avenue. She had been in ill health for several years and confined to her be since last spring when she suffered a severe fall. About 12 years ago she lost her sight. Miss McVean came her 35 years ago to accept a position as English teacher in the high school. She resigned as principal of the high school in Dayton Ky. to come here.
She had lived at the Bowen home for 14 months with her sister, Miss Frances McVean. Other survivors are a brother, Sandy McVean, Alexandria Ky. and a niece Mrs. A L Foote, Grand boulevard and Edmond highway. she was a member of First Baptist Church. Services will be in the Hahn funeral chapel at 2 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
