Mrs. Mary Kennedy, widow of William Kennedy, of 702 Washington av. Newport, was struck by a train at Verona Ky. yesterday. She had been visiting friends at that place and was about to return home. According to the telegram Mrs. Kennedy was crossing the track to reach the platform at the station, when the engine struck her.
She was picked up and cared for by relatives and her condition is serious.
