BRIDE
A sad and pathetic funeral will be that of Miss Mary Abe,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Abe, residing on Park avenue, near Nineth street,
Newport, which will take place tomorrow morning at 9 am. The deceased was 21
years of age and on last Wednesday was to have been married to Maurice Sexton,
an exemplary young man residing on Hodge street.
The banns had been published and the bridal clothes had been prepared for both the bride and groom. The young lady was taken sick and dread typhoid fever soon showed its symptoms. In spite of the best medical attendance, Miss Abe steadily grew worse until the end caem.
Her bridal dress will serve as her burial shroud and what was to have been a scene of gaiety and rejoicing will now be one of sorrow. The pallbearers will be Dennis Sexton, James Sexton, Charles Hodie and Leo Kuhl.
