A Determined Woman

Mrs. McVickers, who was slandered by one Thomas Abbott in Covington, some time since, instituted action for damages. Her husband, whose name has the handle Rev refused his assent to the suit, which was, in accordance with law, thrown out of court. She sued her husband for a divorce and the result was that Mrs. McVickers' suit was granted, the court allowing her alimony in the sum of $700, and half an acre of land in the town of Brooklyn, a few miles above Newport on the Ohio River.

She now intends having the right to sue Abbott for slandering her good name. Success, say we to you Mrs. McVickers.
