DIED AT DETROIT
News was received here yesterday of the death at Detroit Mich. of
Mrs. Margaret Caldwell, formerly Margaret Carter, well known in Newport. She was
a sister of Oswald Carter and widow of Colonel Jack Caldwell, who was one of the
early settlers of Newport.
The remains will arrive here today and will be taken at once to the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Agnes Smalley, Fifth street and Washington avenue.
