Louis Thoney, 83, died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anton Schuchter, 1031 Isabella-st. Newport. He was a resident of Campbell County for more than 75 years. Thoney had been engaged in the contracting business since he was a young man.
He was an uncle of "Bullet" Jack Thoney, for several years a member of the Boston American Baseball Club. The funeral will be held Monday morning, with requiem mass at St. Stephens Church.
Interment will be in St. Stephen's cemetery.
