DIED AT FT THOMAS-L K Marty, 52, died Wednesday morning at 9:45 am at his home in the Highlands, near Ft Thomas. He has been ill for three weeks and pneumonia and kidney trouble hastened the end. Several months ago he recovered fro a severe attack of pneumonia and three weeks ago suffered a relapse on the opposite lung and has never been out since. His family has been at his bedside for some days, expecting the end to be near.
He was well known in Cincinnati as well as Newport, having for years been in the drug business on Broadway, near Pearl. He was a director in the German National Bank for 15 years in Newport and the past three years was its President.

ON SATURDAY- The funeral of L K Marty, whose untimely death was given in Wednesday's Post, will take place on Saturday from the residence in the Highlands. The remains will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery. The Masonic Fraternity of which he was a member, will have charge of the services. He was also a member of the Mystic Shrine. A widow and four children, two sons and two daughters, survive him.

The funeral of the late L K Marty, President of the German National Bank in Newport, took place at 3 pm Saturday afternoon from the family residence in the Highlands. Services were conducted by Rev Dr. Strother, of the Highland M E Church. Mrs. Jessie B Caldwell sang a number of hymns, which were favorites of the deceased during his life.
The Masonic fraternity attended in a body and the attaches of the bank were all there. There were many beautiful floral tributes among which was a design from the German National Bank. The active pallbearers were: Herman Mueller, Dr. W E Kelly, J P Weekman, Raymond Kelin, Joseph Shaw, Frank Perry. The honorary pallbearers were: W M Donaldson, Henry Meier, Judge W D Shaw and William Trenner.
The remains were taken to Evergreen Cemetery and place in the vault temporarily.

FORMER BANKER-The will of L K Marty, former President of the German Bank, was left for probate in Newport Thursday. The document was written by himself March 28, 1896. He bequeaths all his estate to his beloved wife, Nannie Marty and appoints her executrix, without bond. She has full power to dispose of it in any manner. No inventory is to be made of the estate. James G Brown and W T Ford witnessed the document.
