NEWPORT
Louis Cassidy, after a long and painful illness, finally
succumbed to the grim reaper yesterday afternoon about 2 o'clock. Lou was,
perhaps as well known and as well like as any young man within the confines.
Being of a quiet, gentle disposition, he made friends by the score and what is
more, always kept them.
For six years he was a collector on the Newport and Covington bridge and was held in the highest esteem by the bridge directors of both cities, who can and will attest to his career in that position, both for honesty and integrity. He was 39 years of age and leaves a young wife to mourn his loss.
