NEWPORT


Word reached Newport yesterday that Louis Bendel, a Newport man, whose death occurred at Cumberland Md. fell from a coal tipple. He lived but a short time. His wife would not allow the remains to be brought to Newport, so there were interred there.

NEWPORT


The remains of Louis Bendel, who was killed by falling from a coal tipple at Cumberland MD, were received here yesterday by Funeral Director W C Betz and taken to the home of his parents on West Seventh street. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning, with services at Corpus Christi Church.

The parents of the young man and his wife effected a reconciliation at the last moment and the wife agreed to allow the remains to be brought to Newport.
