The girl is 17 and resides with her parents at 217 West Fourth Street In Newport. She has a violent temper which caused her parents to believe her to be a lunatic. Her father testified that several days ago the girl assaulted her mother and struck her in the face with a water glass. He also stated since the girl returned from St Francis Asylum in Wisconsin, she had acted strangely.

Dr. Edward Wendt could discover no evidence of insanity but said she had a vicious temper. The judge ordered the proceedings dismissed and the girl sent to her home. She is a deaf mute.
