After sentencing Gordon Thompson, piano turner and World War veteran, Dayton O. to five days in jail for annoying his wife, Mrs. Lillian Thompson, Seventh and York streets, Newport, Judge Matt Morte? in Newport Police Court Thursday, rejected and took under consideration for 10 days. Thompson was released and ordered to leave town at once.

Mrs. Thompson told the court that her ex-husband come to her home in her absence early Thursday evening and attempted to force an entrance. When he entered later to make another attempt he was arrested and brought to headquarters. Thompson told the court he desired to see his children, from whom he had been separtated for eight months. He said his wife had any reason to see them.

Mrs. Lillian Thompson, 45, died late Tuesday at  her home, 637 Main st. Covingon. Funeral services will be held Friday from the John J Radel Co. funeral home, 822 York st. Newport, with requiem high mass at 9 am at Corpus Christi Church, Newport. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery, Johns Hill. Mrs. Thompson is survived by a son, Woodrow Thompson, one daughter, Clara Mae Thompson; two sisters and two brothers. She formerly lived in Newport.
