SECRETLY MARRIED-A secret marriage of two years standing was revealed Thursday which has caused surprise in Newport and Bellevue. It was just two years to the day that Charles Anderson, agent for the Adams Express Company, with headquarters at Nashville and Miss Lillian Blanchard, of Tenth Street, Newport, were secretly married at Lawrenceburg Ind.

The bride was until Thursday the ticket agent for the C&O at the Bellevue station, the position she has held for 10 years. She resided with her mother Mrs. Mollie Blanchard on Tenth, near Washington Avenue in Newport. Charles Anderson was a resident of Bellevue, for many years and with his wife, will go to housekeeping at Linwood O. Mrs. Blanchard, mother of the bride, stated her only objection to the marriage was on account of Anderson being a widower with three children. She said she could hardly believe her daughter when she came home Thursday and made the announcement of their marriage.

Mrs. Blanchard was a daughter of the late Moses Swim, a contractor, who was wealthy, but lost it all through going security for others. He build many churches in this vicinity.
