Lewis Miller, 9, of 613 Isabella Street, Newport, was seriously injured at Luerson's dairy Saturday afternoon. He was sitting in a wagon when the horse ran away, turning the vehicle over. The lad was caught under it when it fell and he was dragged nearly 200 feet.
He was picked up and taken to Newport. The scalp was torn from his head and his face was a mass of cuts and bruises. It required 25 stitches to sew up the wounds which may yet be fatal.
