Lewis Mangum Pension
 

Lewis Mangum was a private in the company under the command of Captain Posey, and in the regiment of United States Infantry. He is incapable of performing the duty of a soldier as he was on November 7, 1811 injured in Battle of Tippecanoe, and was disabled from obtaining his subsistence by means of manual labor.

Personally appeared before me, a Justice of the peace, in Campbell County, Kentucky, Richard Southgate and John Taliaferro who under oath say that they have known Lewis Magnum for many years, and that he and his family are in very indigent circumstances and considered as an object of charity.

Lewis Magnum, a citizen of the state of Kentucky, humbly represents to the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America that he was a soldier in the 7th Regiment of the United States in the said War of the Revolution.
