Levi T Dix was born in 1826 in Bracken Co Kentucky. He
married (1) Elizabeth Simmons, daughter of James Simmons. Levi married (2)
Mary Clephane 20 Sep 1864 in Newport; (3) Melvina J Lelienere 17 Nov 1879 in
Alexandria.
In 1856 Levi T is listed in the Newport city directory as living at Saratoga & East Row and working as a river boat pilot. In the 1890 Covington City Directory he was listed as a river pilot.
Elizabeth Simmons Dix was born 14 Feb 1832 in Cincinnati and died 2 Feb 1863 in Newport. She was buried in the Newport Cemetery (now Evergreen) in Southgate. Levi Dix died 13 Apr 1893 in Newport and was buried in Evergreen.
