PVT. Lester B Mayfield, 34, husband of Mrs. Alice Mayfield, of
216 McKinney street, Dayton, was wounded in action Oct 14 in the fighting in
Italy, his family was notified. Serving with an infantry unit in Italy, Pvt.
Mayfield entered the Army nine months ago and was sent overseas in August 1944.
He is a graduate of Dayton High School. His mother, Mrs. Nancy Mayfield, resides in Bronston Ky.
