The Campbell County Selective Service Board Thursday accepted 29

The Campbell County Exemption Board received official notice Friday to entrain 38 white men for Ft Thomas May 3. This will be the first Campbell co. increment, outside of Newport, to entrain for Ft Thomas. The following have been notified:

Requiem High Mass for Leonard G Schmidt, an assistant foreman for the Gibson Art Co. Cincinnati, will be sung at 9 am Thursday at St Thomas Church, Ft Thomas, following prayers at 8:30 at the Dobbling funeral home. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas.
Mr. Schmidt, of 41 Forest avenue, Ft Thomas, died late Saturday at the age of 60 at St Luke Hospital, Ft Thomas. He had been employed at the Gibson Art Co. for 44 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St Thomas Church and of Council 962 Catholic Order of Foresters. He was a World War I veteran. He leaves a widow, Marie; a son Raymond, Ft Thomas; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Phirman, Newport; and Mrs. Virginia Meyer, Dayton and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Shoup, Dayton and Mrs. Thomas Braun, Newport and seven grandchildren.
