Lawrence Herman Fledderman

Dr. Leo C Sauter, Campbell county coroner, gave a verdict of suicide in the death of Lawrence H Fledderman, 52, 1140 Ann street, Newport, veteran of World War I, whose body was fund at the head of Washington avenue, Newport, Tuesday. Dr. Sauter said Mr. Fledderman had been dead 24 hours when his body was found at the foot of a small tree in a wooded section.

Two 15 year old boys, Clifford Steffen and Glen Lehew, both of Newport found the body. Albert Fledderman, a brother of the victim said Mr. Fledderman until recently had been a patient at Veterans Hospital, Marion Ind. He said the veteran had suffered serious back burns in an accident aboard a submarine. As a result of his injuries he had been a patient in goverment hospitals over a period of years.

Besides his brother, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Albina Schulkens, Newport. The Betz Funeral home, Newport, is handling arrangements.
