Funeral services for Lail S Kirby, Fourth and Brighton streets, Newport, will be held at the John J Radel Co. funeral home, Newport, Wednesday at 8:30 am with requiem high mass at Corpus Christi Church at 9 am. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery. Mr. Kirby was 43. He died Saturday at his home following a long illness. Mr. Kirby was a World War veteran, having seen eighteen months service overseas and was a professional baseball player in the Southern League several years ago.
He leaves his widow, Gertrude; his mother, Mrs. J B Kirby, Covington; one brother, John L, Covington and three sisters, Mrs. W S Enochs, Dayton O; Mrs. Cleary E Logan, Hyde Park, Cincinnati and Miss Ruth Kirby, Covington.
