The funeral of Mrs. Katherine Schwartz, prominent in Northern Kentucky Catholic circles, who died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. at St. Stephen Church, Newport. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Mrs. Schwartz, who was 80 years old, had lived with a niece, Mrs. Leona Emark, 1023 Park Ave., Newport. A member of St. Cecilia Ladies’ Auxiliary, Knights of St. John, she was also a member of the St. Elizabeth Hospital Circle of Mercy and the St. Boniface Orphans Society Auxiliary.
Besides her niece, she is survived by one son, William Schwartz, Cincinnati; four other nieces, five nephews, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
