DEATH
The venerable mother of John W Schneider, the well known real
estate man, died last evening at her residence, No 820 Washington avenue. The
deceased was nearly 73 years of age and was born in Byreuth Bavaria. She came to
this country in 1850? settling at once in Newport, where she has resided ever
since.
She was the wife of Adam Schneider, who died in 1882, and the mother of eight children, three of whomw are in this country, Mrs. Jacob Hah, Mrs. Kratz and John W Schneider. She was a devout Christian and a prominent member of the Salem M E Church.
The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon from the late residence at 1 o'clock and from Salem Church at 2:215 o'clock. The interment will be made at Evergreen Cemetery.
Miss Anna Schneider, a daughter, died April 1 last year and this make the blow now doubly hard.
