AGED PASTOR DEAD
Rev Karl Koch, 70, father of Rev C B Koch, pastor of the Salem M
E Church, Newport, died last night at the home of his son, 810 York st. after a
two days illness following an attack of paralysis.
Rev Koch was born and reared in Southern Germany and came to this country over 50 years ago. He was a member of the Central German M E Conference, but retired from active service about three years ago, when he came to Newport to live with his children. Rev C B Koch, A E Koch and Miss Esther Koch, all of Newport; Dr. W A Koch of Bucyrus O. Mrs. Charles Ruprecht and Mrs. Herman Epprick of Cleveland O. are surviving relatives.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 12:30 pm in the Salem M E Church, conducted by Rev J G Schaal of Cincinnati and Rev David Grasessle of Newport. The body will be taken to Cleveland.
