Miss Julia H Merrill, retired teacher for the Bellevue Public Schools, died at midnight Friday at Speers Hospital, several days after an operation. She made her home at 367 Berry avenue, Bellevue. Prior to her retirement four years ago, Miss Merrill had served as a teacher for 50 years. For many years she taught the sixth grade and later taught in junior high school.

Among the persons she had under her tutelage who later became prominent are Lucien Hubbard, former staff member of the Cincinnati Post and now a Hollywood writer and director; Walter Wagner, Bellevue City Attorney; William J Wise, Campbell county prosecuting attorney; Stanley Moebus, Campbell County Attorney and A F Dobbling, Bellevue and Ft Thomas funeral director.

The A C Dobbling and Son Funeral home, Bellevue, is in charge of arrangements. She leaves no close relatives.

Requiem High Mass for Miss Julia Merrill, retired Bellevue school teacher, will be sung at St Anthony Church, Bellevue, at 9 am Tuesday following prayers at the A C Dobbling and Son funeral home, Bellevue at 8:30 am. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery.

Miss Merrill teacher for 50 years in the public schools, died Saturday at Speers Hospital. She made her home at 367 Berry avenue. Dayton. She leaves no close relatives.
