Last rites for Joshua W Banks, last surviving member of the Joe Hooker Post GAR, Dayton, will be held Monday at his home, 4310 Forest avenue, S Norwood O. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Banks, 93, was a veteran of several Civil War battles.
He was a member of the Campbell County Republican Executive Committee for 35 years. Mr. Banks was an associate member of George H Thomas Post, GAR, Cincinnati. He was a native of Washington Co Pa. He leaves two sons, J Oliver Banks and William D Banks; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Dellinger, Mrs. Wilfred Yockey and Miss Estella A Banks, 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
