Joseph G. Widrig, brother of L.C. Widrig and Tony Widrig, druggists of Newport, died suddenly Saturday night of heart disease, at his home in New York City. Widrig had conducted a pharmacy at Broadway and Sixtieth-st, New York for several years. Prior to engaging in the drug business he served as surgeon on the torpedo boat destroyer Scorpion. His naval service covered a period of three years. He is survived by a widow. Burial will take place Wednesday morning in New York City.
