Joseph Saelinger, JR. 80 of Fort Thomas, died at 9:30 am at St Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. He was a retired baker with Emerson Bakery in Erlanger and owner of Bill's Bakery in downtown Cincinnati. He was a former Wiedeman Bakery employee and also worked at Manyet's Bakery in Newport and at the Hotel Metropole in Cincinnati.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Hille Saelinger; a daughter, May Jo Studer of Wilder; and sisters Dorothy Trauth of Cold Spring, Betty Dansberry and Martha Wuest, both of Highland Heights.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am Saturday at St Therese Church, Southgate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Saturday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Prayers will be at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
