Mayor-elect Joseph Cassidy of Bellevue, has not yet completed his plans of government. "Of course I am not in office yet, but you can say for me I am heartily in favor of good streets, better water service and no higher taxes, if possible. We have a beautiful little city here of about 7500 people and a number of beautiful homes. The property owners should be given a square deal and with the help of council, I am going to do all I can for the betterment of the existing evils.
"Situated as we are, between Newport and Dayton, Fairfield av. is our only outlet to either place and the avenue is in a frightful condition and almost impassable. Vehicles are continually being stuck either in holes or in the mud."
Cassidy has been a resident of Bellevue for a long time. He has been connected with the Bodmann Tobacco Warehouse in Cincinnati for year. He has a pretty home on O'Fallon av. where his family resides. Mrs. Cassidy is a sister of Frank Cella, who is connected with the Cincinnati municipal government and prominent in politics.
