Ex-County Assessor John S Youtsey, of Youtsey's Hill, Campbell County, is lying at death's door, the result of a stroke of paralysis, which he suffered yesterday. The stricken man is 84 and is one of the pioneer residents of the county. Dr. J J Youtsey and William Youtsey, both of Newport, are sons of the afflicted man.

John S Youtsey, former County Assessor, died yesterday at his
home in Alexandria. He was 87 years of age and had been ill for some time. He
was born in the county, and besides having held the office Assessor for two
terms, had held other positions of trust.
He is survived by four sons-Dr. J J Youtsey, William Youtsey, the letter carrier; Jacob Youtsey, Superintendent of the County Infirmary, and George Youtsey, and one daughter Margaret Youtsey.
