NEWPORT

SAFE AND SOUND-Mr. Lall Winston received a dispatch yesterday from his brother, John Winston, who was engineer on the steamboat Brilliant, that blew up near Gallipolis Saturday, announcing that he escaped without an injury by the explosion.

This was glad new to John's numerous friends in this city.
