Friends were pleased to learn Thursday that John Tassock Jr. son
of John Tassock, 158 Ward av. Bellevue, was awarded a commission in the US
regular army. Tassock Jr. now 24, enlisted in the regular army when 17. He
re-enlisted and was sent to the officers training camp at Ft Benjamin Harrison
three months ago.
He passed examinations with honors and will receive the rank of lieutenant.
