Mr. and Mrs. John Spatz of Cote Brilliant, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary tomorrow. Spatz was born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, 75 years ago and Mrs. Spatz was born in Spira, Germany, 69 years ago.
They came to America in the early 40s and after their marriage which was celebrated in Louisville Ky. they settled in Campbell co. Spatz is connected with the P Echert Candy Co in Cincinnati. Their children are Mrs. Henry Dietz, and Miss Laura Spatz of Cote Brilliant; Mrs. J C Link, Mrs. Harry Wadsworth of Newport and Mrs. Carl Streit of Cincinnati.

John Spatz, 77, a well known Newport man, died yesterday afternoon at the family residence, 1173 Park av. after a lingering illness. The decedent had been a resident of Newport for more than 50 years and was a veteran of the Civil War. No arrangements for the funeral have been made.
