There are prospects of changing the rules of the Campbell Circuit Court in the near future, and a motion to that effect was made and entered Saturday morning. Attorney John S Roebuck is the instigator of the movement.

The motion of Attorney John Roebuck in the Campbell Circuit Court in Newport, Saturday to have a committee appointed to make changes in the court rules, alleging that in many instances the rules are inadequate, was taken up by Judge Berry and a committee named for that purpose. The Court appointed Attorney John S Roebuck, L J Crawford, C L Raisen Jr. J C Wright, Samuel Bailey and Col. George Washington to suggest such changes as they might deem proper.

John S Roebuck, 67, well known Newport attorney, who died this
Thursday at his home, 233 E Fifth st. Newport, will be buried Saturday in
Evergreen Cemetery following services at 2 pm at the residence.
Roebuck one of the oldest members of the Campbell co-Bar Association, had been ailing for the last year and two weeks ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis which resulted in his death. Roebuck was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Law School and was a practicing attorney for the last 40 years before the Campbell-co state and federal courts. Roebuck gained a widespread reputation as counsel in divorce cases.
The decent is survived by his widow, Ella M Roebuck, and a daughter, Miss Zipporah Roebuck. His sister, Dr. Katherine Roebuck, Newport, died about a year ago.
