John J (Johnny TV) Peluso Sr. 6/1/22-1/30/2015; 92years old; A WWII Army Veteran, Johnny participated in numerous campaigns in the ETO. He was wounded in combat during fierce fighting at the Battle of the Bulge where he was taken prisoner. He remained a prisoner until wars end. Johnny was a life long member of St Stephen Parish, Newport KY and a member of numerous fraternal organizations in the Northern Kentucky Tri State area.
Johnny was owner and operator of Johnny TV sales and Service in the City of Newport for over 50 years. He was a man that never met a stranger and never forgot a name. He was always ready to help, especially those in need. He was well known for purchasing hundreds of pairs of shoes for the children of Newport and delivering hundreds of baskets of food for those in need during Christmas time. Johnny served the people of Newport with pride and honor as one of their Mayors & City Commissioners for Newport.
Johnny was an avid animal lover, often rescuing injured animals. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Holloran Peluso, and his daughter, Antoinette Peluso Kunkel. He is survived by his sons, John and Frank (Sue) Peluso; five grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
Visitation 9 am until noon on Tuesday, Feb 3 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 835 York st. Newport, with mass following at 12:30 pm at Holy Spirit Church, 825 Washington Av. Newport. Burial in St Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas.
