The Cincinnati Enquirer, 5 January 1877, page 7
Dr. John Orr, perhaps the oldest practitioner of medicine in
Campbell County, died at his residence in Alexandria a few days ago very
suddenly. He was endeared to the people if this county by many kind and generous
acts through a long and useful life.
His attention to the poor of the upper end of the county by will be gratefully remembered. He leaves a vacancy in the society of Alexandria that can scarcely be supplied. His hospitable mansion was always open to his friends and his good wife always made it pleasant to whose who entered it.
The sympathies of all classes of the community will be extended to his bereaved family and his good deeds will be a source of pleasant recollections to those connected with him.
