John Miller, 65, veteran of the Civil War, died yesterday in the
Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, of pneumonia and heart trouble. The body
was brought to the Costigan Morgue on Fourth st. Newport, where the funeral
service will be held Monday afternoon.

The funeral of John Miller, a retired soldier, took place yesterday afternoon with services at John Gerke's residence on East Third st. Newport. At Evergreen Cemetery where the remains were interred, a detail of regulars from Ft Thomas, with the Fourth Regiment Band paid the last tribute of respect to the memory of the deceased.
