NEWPORT BRIEFS
John D Maher, died Thursday night at the home of his son-in-law,
W H McCormick, 408 East Fifth street, aged 80. Grip was the immediate cause of
his death.
He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the Sixth Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 am from the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery in Price Hill.
