The Union Fishing Club, composed of prominent young men of
Newport, inaugurated its camping season Sunday by keeping open house. Among
those who visited the camp were Mayor Helmbold, President of the Board of
Aldermen, William Eimer; Alderman John Lickert.
President of Council Jacob Braun; Councilmen John Roth and Peter Brahmer, Joe Koenig, Amiel Steinert, Jailer Ben Ploeger, John Keefer, William Culbertson. The Crescent Band furnished the music.
