John L Williams, 65, a Civil War veteran and member of William Nelson Post GAR, died yesterday at his home, 1142 Columbia st. after a lingering illness. Old age and general debility was the cause of death.
Williams leaves a widow and family of grown children. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon with interment in the soldiers lot.
