TECH 5 John H Ledonne, 24, husband of Mrs. Fannie Ledonne, of 1407 Clay street, Cincinnati, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Ledonne, of 174 Main avenue, South Newport, died April 2 in Iran, the War Department informed his family. Serving with a port battalion with the Army, Tech Ledonne received a head injury when his ship was torpedoed on the way overseas 2 1/2 years ago.
His family told the Post that he had been complaining of headaches lately.

Requiem High Mass for Tech 5 John H Ledonne, who was killed in action in World War II, will be sung at St Vincent de Paul Church at 9 am Wednesday, following prayers at the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport at 8:30 am. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery.
Tech Ledonne, who was 25 at the time of his death, was killed April 2, 1945 at Khorramshahr Iran. Military services will be held at the graveside by members of the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, Newport. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm Tuesday. Tech Ledonne formerly lived at 174 Main street, Newport. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Helen Ledonne; three brothers, Joseph, Palmer and Marion Ledonne all of Newport; two sisters Mrs. Ervin Holzderber, Newport and Mrs. Dolores Ray, Louisville.
