GOP Leader-Master Commissioner of Campbell County Dies-Rites for J F Kehm Tomorrow
John F Kehm, Master Commissioner of Campbell County and widely known Republican leader, died yesterday at Speers Hospital, Dayton Ky. where he underwent an operation Sunday. He was 67 years old. He had been a resident of Newport and Fort Thomas all his life. Mr. Kehm had served 18 years as Master Commissioner under Judge A M Caldwell of Campbell Circuit Court and four years as County Probation Officer. Earlier he had been forman in a Cincinnati shoe manufacturing company. He was a Director of the American National Bank, Newport, and the Mutual Fire Insurance Company Newport; Secretary of the Sixth Ward Association, a Knight of Pythias and an Odd Fellow.
Mr. Kehm lived at 301 Overton Street, Newport. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Anna Kehm; a brother, Harry Kehm and a sister Mrs. Kate Payne all of Newport. Another brother, Dr. Charles J Kehm, Newport physician, died in Florida four weeks ago. Private services will be held tomorrow.
