John Bartell (sic) 74, died at 12:10 Tuesday morning at the residence, 819 Sixth av. after a lingering illness. He is survived by a widow and two children. Bartell was a member of the GAR of Dayton and a soldier during the Civil War. Several years ago he served as policeman in Newport.
Funeral will be held from the late residence Thursday at 2 pm. Interment at Cold Spring Cemetery.
