Last rites for John Hilge, 83, of 74 McCracken av. Clifton, will be held Monday at 2:30 pm from the home. Rev W B Harvey of Beckley W. Va. formerly pastor of the First Baptist Church, Newport, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Hilge died Thursday at his home as a result of a paralytic stroke sufferd two weeks ago. Altho born in Cincinnati, Hilge had lived in Campbell co. many years and was widely known. He was a member of William Nelson Post No 1 GAR. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served several years with the Union forces. The Nelson Post and Womens Relief Corps No 2, auxiliary to the GAR will hold services together Sunday at 2 pm at Hilge's home.

Hilge is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emma Fronk, 74 McCracken av. Clifton, with whom he lived and two sons, John Jr. 422 W 12th st. Newport, and Walter Hilge, Grand av. Ft Thomas.
