ALMOST DROWNED-John Hall, 16, of Fourth Avenue, Dayton, had a narrow escape from a watery grave late Monday afternoon. With a number of boys he was bathing at the foot of Dayton Avenue, when the attention of the boys was attracted by his cries for help. The boys thought he was joking and paid little attention to him, but when he disappeared they gave the alarm and Bud Klein of Fifth Avenue, plunged into the water and found the boy at the bottom of the river.
Dr. William Young worked with the boy 20 minutes and managed to revive him.
