NEWPORT
The remaining members of the famous Twenty-third Kentucky
Infantry, which was recruited in Newport during the Civil War and saw much hard
service, will attend the funeral of John Nealeans in a body tomorrow morning.
There are only about 25 of them left in this vicinity and they will carry the torn and tattered battle flags.
