Funeral services for John W Doyle, of 1147 Columbia streets, Newport, son of Patrolman Martin Doyle, of the Newport Police Department will be held at the John J Radel Co Newport, Thursday at 8:30 am with requiem high mass at the Church of the Immaculte Conception at 9 am. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery. He was 39. Mr. Doyle was a member of the Newport Eagles and the Church of the Immaculate Conception. He was a World War veteran and formerly was employed as a railway mail clerk.
Besides his parents he leaves his widow, Margaret; one daughter, Miss Loraine Doye; two sons, John Jr and Joseph; one sister Mrs. Carl Ruschman and six brothers, Frank, Fred, Charles, Martin Jr. Thomas and Raymond, all of Newport.
