NEWPORT
John Crowley, an old and esteemed citizen of this city, was found
dead in bed in the Indiana House at Lawrenceburg on Monday morning. He entered
the house on Sunday night and retired without supper.
He leaves a wife and several children in this city and was a relative of Officer Dennis Flynn and Chris Whitehead. His remains were brought to this city for interment.
