Many person will regret to learn of the death of Rev Father John G Cook, which occurred yesterday afteroon from consumption at the residence of his mothe on Madison street, between Columbia and Central avenue. He was thirth years of age and was ordained into the order of the Roman Catholic Church in 1872.
The six following years were spent as assistant pastor of St Paul Church in Lexingon and immediately preceding his death he was in charge of the parish at Cynthiana. A scholar of note he had gained though young considerable reputation. The funeral ceremonies will take place tomorrow morning at 9 am at the Church of the Immaculate Conceptin, at which time requiem mass will be sung and the services participated in by a large number of clergy.
